Councillor Vacancy
Ulleskelf Parish Council currently has a vacancy for one parish councillor. Please contact the Clerk to express an interest or for further information.
The ancient Viking village of Ulleskelf is situated in Selby District on the the southernmost edge of the Vale of York where North Yorkshire makes its final assault on the West and East Ridings. Four miles from Tadcaster, it lies next to the tidal stretch of the River Wharfe before it joins the Ouse near Cawood. Here, in its final reaches the river is, in places, narrow and deep, perfect for fishing and as a former crossing point by ferry. The Parish includes the village of Ulleskelf and the houses at the former Church Fenton RAF base.
