New Ulleskelf Wildlife Group
Interested residents are invited to attend the Saturday Social event in the Village Hall on 14/03/26 to discuss further.

We are fortunate to live in a village surrounded by open countryside with the opportunity to observe nature at close-hand.
More recent arrivals to Ulleskelf will likely have moved here to enjoy the benefits of living in the country and, for those reasons, will want to see the environment protected and enhanced for nature. Those that have lived here for a few years may have noticed changes in both the landscape and in the wildlife they encounter over that time, raising their concerns for this change.
The idea behind the new Ulleskelf Wildlife Group (UWG) is to promote connectedness with nature and responsibility for it. It has been formed under the Team Wilder initiative of the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust (YWT) and is sponsored by Ulleskelf Parish Council (PC) as a working group with responsibility for delivery of projects aligned with the PC’s Biodiversity Policy.
Projects undertaken will be decided by the group in association with relevant local stakeholders.
If sufficient interest exists a follow-up meeting will be held to begin project planning. Those unable to attend the Saturday Social meeting can contact the Clerk to the Ulleskelf PC who will forward messages received to the YWT Team Wilder Community Champion, Brendan Clark. Alternatively, if you see Brendan around (man with Red Setters) just stop him for a chat.
Thanks for your interest in this community-led initiative.
